Fashion Happy Campaign

fh

A competition was set up as a collaboration between The Evening Standard, London Live and Westfield Stratford, asking participants to submit short films demonstrating what makes them ‘Fashion Happy’.

As part of an advertorial, select LCF students were interviewed, where we attempted to describe what we felt defines ‘Fashion Happy’ by answering various questions during an interview. It was a really fun project to be apart of where I had the chance to see the behind-the-scenes running of a high profile advertisement and felt a part of a group of students who’s view and opinions on a subject are actually valued.

London Collections: Men Online Article

It’s so surprising that it was two whole years ago that I was working on site at London’s very first Menswear Week at The Hospital Club in Covent Garden! As I mention in the article, the tradeshow has been going from strength to strength, a progression I reflect on while writing a short feature introducing the fifth showcase for Pigeons & Peacocks Magazine.

I have been featured in the ‘Ones to Watch’ list from LCF’s Class of 2014! The selected graduates were interviewed, with our answers published on the college’s blog. While answering the questions I enjoyed reflecting on the past three years. Now, I’m excited about life after graduation!

Dissertation Hand in

Three years, two cities and countless lessons learnt later and my time at LCF has come to an end! I won’t know my final grade for another month or so but I am so relieved to have completed my degree.

The dissertation has been a working progress for the past six months and I locked myself in my Dad’s office for the two months prior to the deadline so I am looking forward to celebrating with all of my friends who are also graduating this year!

The final title of my dissertation is:

From Conception to Landfill: An exploration and discussion of the environmental impacts created during the lifecycle of fast-fashion garments

‘The Blame Game’ Article for Pigeons & Peacocks Magazine

I have always been interested in writing articles for a magazine however due to having little exposure to it, I’ve never had the chance.

I however approached Pigeons & Peacocks Magazine, pitching an idea for an article, I went on to write a piece entitled The Blame Game which discusses where the blame lies in regards to the lack of environmental consciousness in today’s fashion industry.
